Program Manager




Off The Record (OTR) is a non-profit organization founded to support early stage founders through curated, trusted communities. Often referred to as “group therapy for founders”, OTR provides entrepreneurs with a medium to discuss best practices and challenges with their peers in a forum of confidentiality, respect, and trust. 


OTR was launched in 2019 by venture capital firms Laconia, Bullpen Capital, Differential Ventures, NextView, Tribeca Venture Partners, Two Sigma Ventures, and ValueStream to support early-stage founders with the unique challenges of building a business from the ground up. Now serving hundreds of venture firms and startups across the US, OTR is seeking a Program Manager to lead the organization into its next phase of growth.




This role is an excellent fit for someone seeking to engage with the startup ecosystem in a meaningful way. The role is part-time to start, with the potential to expand in scope as the organization grows in scale. 


Reporting to the Board of Directors, OTR’s Program Manager will be responsible for managing, engaging, and growing the OTR community. You will play an integral role in the daily growth and development of this initiative: building OTR's online community and brand awareness, managing day-to-day operations, and building key relationships within the early stage ecosystem. As the Program Manager, you are in a unique position to extend OTR's footprint, implementing and executing a strategy for scalable growth. 




  • Strategy

    • Set OTR’s national mission and strategy

    • Create, plan, and execute strategies that drive OTR’s growth

  • Operations

    • Coordinate and manage membership lists, scheduling & logistics (launch meetings only)

    • Manage the operating budget, including membership dues, incoming sponsorship funds, logistics expenses, administrative fees

    • Manage the recruiting and selection processes for new founders and investor partners 

    • Secure funding for program operations through partnerships with sponsors and membership fees

    • Drive marketing initiatives, including content creation, newsletters, and digital marketing initiatives

    • Continue to build out the OTR team as needed to support the organization’s growth

  • Community 

    • Manage ongoing communication with founders, partner VCs, launch consultants, and sponsors

    • Conduct regular quality checks within forums and programming, proactively addressing themes, trends, and problem areas

    • Design and execute networking opportunities for founders

    • Develop, operationalize, and account for member satisfaction



  • You have an understanding of the venture capital and startup industry, with a passion for supporting founders in their personal and professional growth

  • You have some community-building, events, sales, and/or marketing experience under your belt (experience at a startup or in a VC platform role is a plus)

  • You are a self-starter who is excited about building community, making new connections, and creating deeper relationships

  • You’re highly organized with precision, attention to detail, and polished communication skills

  • You are creative and analytical, able to generate ideas and measure their impact
